Drip irrigation is a water-efficient product commonly used in landscapes. Over time, it can become pinched by roots, staples, & maturing tree trunks. Below are examples of what can be seen above ground. Drip is often installed under mulch & fabric, or covered by plants, making it difficult to find these issues. A pinch may not be known until the weather is warm or dry, or plants begin to wilt.

Despite these issues, drip serves an important purpose & should continue being used. However, owners & property managers should budget for ongoing maintenance & replacement.
