Trees mostly take care of themselves but every few years, they can benefit from structural pruning.

What is Structural Pruning?
Strategically thinning & removing dead, diseased, & crossing limbs. We focus on scaffolding limbs to maintain the trees natural growth habit & remove limbs that might cause issues. It also improves airflow & reduces the risks of breaking & falling branches in high winds or heavy snow loads.
Why winter?
Trees are dormant. Fluids aren’t moving as they would in the spring or summer. Easier for trees to heal from cuts. Lower chance of destructive insects & diseases entering fresh cuts.
No leaves. Easier to see & make the best cuts. Also less debris to haul away; lower costs.
We’re less busy. Arborists are often packed for much of the growing season. More free time in the winter. We often offer discounts & deals for qualified customers.
Why Pro Care?
Expertise – we’ve done this type of pruning for nearly 40 years.
Certifications – most jobs are estimated & overseen by ISA Certified Arborists.
Vetted Subcontractors – Pro Care is awesome up to about 30′-35′. For the really big work, we work with specialty tree companies that meet our strict specifications on quality, safety, & performance.
Why make this a priority?
The bigger trees get, the more expensive they are to prune. And they will need to be pruned, eventually. Better to do it every 3-5 years, especially if they’re relatively young. By the time they mature, they have a terrific canopy structure that requires minimal care & poses fewer risks to breaking/falling limbs. It’s also better for tree health to prune smaller diameter limbs rather than very large branches.
How do I get a bid?
Couldn’t be easier. Fill out this online form, email customerservice@procareidaho.com, or call (208) 288-5589. Bids are free & discounts are available for projects completed by March.
