High Level View
While the positions standard HR functions, there are two critical areas: recruiting & training. Our industry attracts a mix of temporary employees as well as career landscapers. To address the former, the HR Specialist must establish strong recruiting networks, screen candidates, & onboard them. Upon joining our team, each person must be trained to do their job safely, efficiently, & effectively. A key job function of the HR Specialist will be to create & distribute training materials for all positions. This may include technical writing, photography, videography, & using eLearning platforms.
A Typical Week
- Actively recruit quality team members; update job postings
- Interview, screen, select, & onboard new team members
- Deploy training programs
- Review metrics, recognize great performance, & help to improve unsatisfactory performance
- Collaborate with managers on performance evaluations
- Celebrate employee milestones & accomplishments
- Planning company social events
- Update social media & website with employee news
- Administer benefits programs
- Keep compliant with regulations, labor laws, & policies
- Report & document injuries & incidents
- Assist on related tasks as needed
What’s Needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or similar degree/experience
- Willingness to go get candidates, screen them, & select those best suited for our team
- Experience in developing training programs & technical writing
- Experience with LMS or eLearning platforms
- Experience in photography & videography would be a huge plus
- Being well-organized yet adaptable to change
- Expertise in benefits programs, labor laws, & related HR matters
Other Items
Schedule: Mon-Fri w/ rotating shifts occurring between 7am-6pm at roughly 8-9 hrs/day
